Our 7th Anniversary marked the most significant technical evolution in our history: the full-scale pivot into Business Process Automation (BPA). While we reached seven years of existence in October, there was no time for a traditional party. We were deep in the final stages of architecting our first major Automated Sales Quotation Infrastructure.
Because this enterprise-level project had undergone strategic scope changes to ensure perfection, we committed to a “Christmas Delivery” so the client could present the new engine to their global team. We celebrated our 7th Anniversary the best way we know how: by working. We traded the cake for code, ensuring that our client’s transition into AI-Driven Workflow Efficiency was flawless. This year proved that Go Digital Globally is defined by its results, its resilience, and its unwavering commitment to the “Go Live” date.
Our 6th Anniversary marked a significant shift in how we define “success.” Instead of a traditional office celebration, we chose to invest our anniversary budget back into the community. We became an Official Sponsor for the Global Women event – a platform dedicated to empowerment and professional excellence.
The highlight of this milestone was the invitation for me (Elena) to take the stage. Standing before an audience of visionary women to discuss the future of Digital Leadership and AI-Driven Transformation was the ultimate way to honor our six-year journey. We didn’t need a party; the opportunity to mentor others and support a global movement was the greatest celebration we could have asked for. This year proved that Go Digital Globally is not just an agency – we are a catalyst for growth in the wider professional world.
Our 5th Anniversary was a celebration of endurance and high-level achievement. While reaching half a decade as an agency was a major feat, this year was uniquely marked by a personal milestone: the completion of my (Elena’s) first year of PhD research. One of our favorite photos from this time captures the moment I shared my first-year grades with the team – a moment of pure joy and relief. Balancing the intense demands of doctoral research alongside managing complex client projects required a new level of focus. As always, David Fowles was right by my side, ensuring our operations remained seamless while I pushed the boundaries of my academic journey. This “quiet” 5th-year celebration wasn’t just about the company’s age; it was about the standard of excellence and the Strategic Leadership that defines everything we do.
Our 4th Anniversary was a quiet, internal milestone dedicated to a deep “Meditation on our Journey.” We gathered in the office for our usual Go Digital Globally cake, but the real value of the day was a transparent presentation on our growth—including the projects that didn’t go as planned. We took a moment to analyze the “Smart in the Dark” collaboration with a local Swedish SEO specialist, which we consider one of our most important learning curves. Despite our best efforts, the synergy between the local specialist and our global strategy didn’t reach the results we expected. Rather than ignoring this “failure,” we meditated on it. This project taught us exactly how to vet international partners. We learned that true leadership isn’t just about celebrating wins; it’s about having the integrity to analyze the gaps.
In 2022, we reached a milestone that literally put Go Digital Globally on the map: the branding of our first company car. Seeing our professional identity traveling the streets of Cyprus was a proud moment of physical growth for our agency. But as with every major project, the “behind the scenes” story is what matters most. After a long, demanding day of the official photoshoot, our team sat down for a lovely meal together. This moment – captured in the laughter around the table – reminds us that systems are built by a team that truly enjoys the journey. We aren’t just a fleet of services; we are a family of experts driving digital change.
As 2021 drew to a close, the “New Reality” still imposed strict limits on the number of people who could gather in one place. However, we refused to let restrictions dampen our spirit. We pivoted our traditional large-scale event into an intimate, high-warmth “Family and Work” celebration. By bringing our small, dedicated team together in a safe and personal setting, we transformed a period of isolation into a moment of deep connection. It was a reminder that while we build complex Business Solutions for the world, our internal “operating system” is fueled by the people we value most. This Christmas wasn’t about the size of the crowd; it was about the strength of the bonds that would carry us into our most ambitious year yet.
Our 3rd Anniversary was defined by a single, powerful theme: “Leadership begins at the end of your comfort zone.” At Go Digital Globally, I (Elena) have always pushed our team and our clients to embrace the uncomfortable in order to grow. During the celebration, a colleague turned that challenge back on me, daring me to perform an Argentine Tango—a dance I had never mastered.
Accepting the challenge was about more than just the dance; it was about demonstrating the bravery required to lead. Accompanied by the soulful saxophone of our talented intern, Vic, I took to the floor. Performing that Tango in style was my way of proving that whether we are navigating a complex Digital Growth Architecture or stepping into a spotlight, we must be willing to be vulnerable to achieve excellence. It was a night of counting our blessings, setting new goals, and proving that at GDG, we lead by example.
As we approached our third year, we reached a milestone that solidified our identity in the global market: the official registration of the Go Digital Globally logo as a protected trademark. This process was a rigorous journey of legal research and documentation, representing our commitment to building a brand that stands for long-term authority and trust. We intentionally postponed our anniversary celebration to November 27th, waiting for the official opposition period to end. For us, this wasn’t just about paperwork; it was about securing the foundation of our history. Our logo is no longer just a visual—it is a registered mark of our standards, our methodology, and our promise to the industry.
While we were driving the Platanis 100th Anniversary campaign forward, we also focused heavily on sustaining our own internal culture. The shift to a “New Normal”—scary, confusing, and constantly changing—required intentional optimism. These two snapshots perfectly capture our spirit. We have Adriana and Marios, navigating a day where they felt genuinely lost amidst the uncertainty, but still finding reasons to make fun and keep morale high. The second photo shows our eventual, careful return: equipped with masks and antiseptics everywhere, we began working some days a week back in the office. Our resilience was built not just on our technical skill, but on this shared laughter and our collective refusal to let the global situation take us by storm.
Executing the Platanis 100th Anniversary campaign was a true test of our adaptability. Working within a high-standard food production environment already required us to wear industrial robes and hats, but doing so in the heat of a pandemic meant adding protective masks to our gear. Navigating a busy factory floor while breathing through layers of PPE was physically demanding and technically challenging. This “New Reality” was undeniably scary and unpredictable, yet it forced us to be more creative than ever. We had to find new ways to direct, communicate, and capture the soul of a century-old brand while obscured by safety equipment. Looking back, those masked shoots are a badge of honor for our team—they represent the moment we proved that no barrier is too high when it comes to delivering excellence for a legacy brand.
As part of our commitment to the Fourth Digital Revolution, we recognized that our growth provided a unique platform to mentor emerging talent. During a period when many opportunities for young professionals were shrinking, we opened our doors to our first group of interns. By providing hands-on training in high-level SEO and systems architecture, we didn’t just teach technical skills; we invited them to be part of a real-world digital transformation. This initiative has since grown into a core pillar of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, where we continue to bridge the gap between academic theory and the fast-paced reality of global digital agency work.
By the time our 2nd Anniversary arrived in early 2020, the world felt “new and scary,” yet our young company was thriving in this digital-first environment. We celebrated this milestone from our home offices, finding joy in our progress despite the lockdowns. This was also the year Aggliki joined our team, bringing fresh talent to support our growing international portfolio. Proving that we were “driving the change” rather than being driven by it, 2020 became the year we truly lived up to our new name.
As the global pandemic necessitated a shift to remote work, we realized that digital expertise has no borders. While the local market in Cyprus was adjusting to a new reality, we secured our first major international client “Smart in the Dark,” a safety-accessory innovator from Sweden. This collaboration was the catalyst for our evolution; we recognized that our strategies were not just effective locally, but globally scalable. To reflect this new era of international reach and remote-first efficiency, we officially rebranded from Go Digital Cyprus to Go Digital Globally.
At Go Digital Globally, we believe that the “Fourth Digital Revolution” must be inclusive and educational. This belief led to the launch of our first Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, with our primary pillar focused on supporting the next generation of innovators. Our very first sponsorship events were dedicated to children’s initiatives in Cyprus, providing resources and support for youth-centric programs. By investing in these early-stage environments, we aim to spark a passion for technology and creativity long before these children enter the professional world.
As we reached the milestone of our first year, we chose to celebrate with the people who were at the heart of our early growth. We hosted an intimate dinner at a fine-dining venue, bringing together our dedicated colleagues who helped build the agency’s foundation. We were also honored to have Constantinos Spastris, the owner of Ecomelani, join us as our featured client guest. At that time, we had already begun delivering significant SEO results for his business, and having him there to celebrate with us was a powerful validation of the “GDG Method.” It was a night defined by meaningful conversation and the shared success of a partnership that proved our strategies could truly transform a brand’s digital presence.
One of our earliest and most significant milestones was proving that our technical approach to SEO could solve the specific visibility challenges facing Cyprus businesses. Ecomelani came to us with a common frustration: they had the foundation in place, but they were invisible on Google and Google Maps. I (Elena) worked closely with them to audit their strategy, correct their keyword targeting, and align their digital presence with Google’s shifting algorithms. The impact was transformative, and the feedback from Constantinos Spastris became the first formal validation of the high-standard local SEO services we provide today.
Our first year was defined by active engagement within the European tech and business communities. We didn’t just work on the business; we worked within the industry, immersing ourselves in the trends that would eventually become the global standard. From our first networking events as Go Digital Globally, we focused on high-level collaboration, ensuring that the strategies we developed were built on real-world insights and academic rigor.
In 2018, I (Elena Andreou) founded Go Digital Globally with a singular mission: to bridge the gap between traditional business and the rapidly expanding digital frontier. Recognizing that the Cyprus market was ready for a more sophisticated approach to online growth, I established the foundation of what has now become a leading digital transformation agency.
Only a few months later, David Fowles (MSc) joined the mission, bringing his deep technical background in systems engineering and a passion for data-driven strategy. Together, we began a partnership built on the perfect synergy of creative brand vision and technical precision. From those early days, our goal was never just to provide services, but to build the industrial-strength digital architectures that we deliver to our global clients today.
